Efficient use of LED lighting (LED technology) in producing images for television programmes

Abstract

Lighting is considered one of the important factors in designing the television image. There are many artificial lighting sources used in television imaging in terms of their types, shapes, and types of lamps. Our contemporary world has witnessed great technological development in all fields, especially in lighting equipment and devices of the production of television programmes. A very modern technology has appeared in programme lighting, which is LED technology; it is an abbreviation of the term (Light-Emitting Diode). It is used to illuminate decorations and people. The problem of the research lies in the necessity of knowing the developments and innovations that have occurred in LED lighting, how to control LED lighting devices and sources, and to what extent the image produced using LED technology alone is extremely efficient and high design quality, so that it replaces the other technologies in terms of lighting design and image design for television programmes. The research aims to study the developments that have occurred in LED lighting and achieve the optimal use of LED technology and employ it within the studio to design the image of television programmes with high quality and determine the role of each of the sources and devices that operate with LED technology in designing the television image and reaching the best results. The researcher found that the descriptive analytical method is the most appropriate and suitable for achieving the research objectives.
