Abstract

The art of design and innovation is considered an applied art that relies on artistic and scientific methods together without separating them, it is not a skill, but it combines beauty and usefulness.

Good design requires the designer to get to know the fabrics he uses accurately, to discover their limits and properties, and to innovate within them, taking advantage of the special possibilities that they help to design.

The material is the tool used by the designer, which determines the shape of the design that he produces, and the basic material used in the design on the mannequin is (fabric) of various types and its multiple properties.

The draping technique is an elegant technique of clothing production, it is a manual artistic technique by converting a two-dimensional piece of fabric into a three-dimensional piece to give guaranteed results with a high degree of accuracy, and it is the most efficient technique used to create innovative designs.

The marine world is one of the rich sources of the designer, with its fish, plants, animals, corals and aquatic life.

Based on the above, the research aims at the following points:

* Creating new designs in line with international fashion lines using the techniques of Fabric Manipulation and Draping Techniques.

* Developing creative thinking in creating evening designs inspired by marine nature.

* Studying the aesthetics of the corals of the Red Sea, with the aim of creating artistic works that enrich the field of fashion design.
