Abstract

This research addresses the topic of using environmentally compatible materials in the design of outdoor furniture, focusing on Abu Minqar Island, which represents an important natural environment in Egypt. The study aims to explore how natural and renewable raw materials can be used in the design of outdoor furniture in a way that contributes to preserving the local environment while meeting the needs of visitors.

The research will focus on materials such as local wood (mangrove), algae, and seaweed, which are resilient to harsh climatic factors such as high humidity and elevated temperatures, in addition to being non-polluting to the environment. The study will also examine the impact of using these materials on the aesthetics and sustainability of outdoor furniture design, considering the harmony with the surrounding natural landscape and marine environment.
