Abstract

Heritage is a cultural product that expresses, with all its material and immaterial elements, the characteristics that distinguish society, achieves development goals, highlights national identity, and shapes public awareness, without neglecting the compatibility of modern thought and the inspiration of heritage vocabulary with the development of phenomena of change and movement in personal and social characteristics in a way that preserves identity and affects the behavior of individuals and societies. Mural art works, as a means of direct visual communication, are based on the inspiration of heritage formative vocabulary that expresses creative aesthetic artistic thought and values and cultural messages formulated within a formative vision that combines nostalgia, depicting the present reality, and anticipating the future, in a manner consistent with the economic and political orientations of society and reflects its contemporary issues. The study deals with the descriptive and analytical approach to a group of mural painting works in the city of Alexandria, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the study of developing formative solutions that confirm identity, highlight its authenticity, support the individual's sense of self and privacy, and reflect his culture, civilization, and history.
