Abstract

Nature is a rich and diverse source of inspiration, with technological development, it has become possible to discover many hidden elements that cannot be seen by the naked eye. The continuous development of microscope techniques has enabled geologists to see and study the fine details of rocks under the microscope lens . One of the research objectives is to benefit from the aesthetic values of the fine texture of sedimentary rocks sampled from outcrops in the northern Western Desert in creating designs for printed women's fabrics that reflect the heritage identity of the Siwan style, .The research also aims to benefit from the out puts of microscopic imaging of sedimentary rocks as a source of inspiration that contributes to enriching the designer's visual vision, and exploiting these details to create contemporary designs that express the Siwan heritage, combing authenticity and modernity, The research contributed to emphasizing that the rock nature, with its fine structures and colors, is an important source of artistic inspiration. The researcher concluded that the details of the fine rock texture can be exploited in producing 8 design works with various colors and elements integrated with different background effects such as batik, knots and binding. It also proved the possibility of employing designs on Siwa heritage to produce printed women's fabrics that enhance the cultural identity of Siwa Oasis and keep pace with (autumn-winter) fashion. Thus, the research highlights the role of the designer in renewing design methods and reviving Egyptian heritage at the same time.
