Abstract

The current research aims to shed light on sustainable fashion a This was a call to make the most of handicrafts (crochet art and embroidery with satin ribbons) to enrich the aesthetics of wicker handbags and raise the aesthetic and functional value of the executed bags. The research tools were represented in a product evaluation card for judges specialized in the field of clothing and textiles, and their number was (15) of the faculty members, and a product evaluation card for female and girl consumers, numbering (70). The research followed the descriptive approach - the experimental approach. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the specialists on all axes of the evaluation form for the implemented products (wicker handbags) in terms of (the extent to which the foundations and elements of design were achieved - the extent to which the aesthetic aspect was achieved - the extent to which the functional aspect was achieved - the extent to which sustainability was achieved). There were also statistically significant differences between the average scores of consumers (for wicker handbags implemented using handicrafts in light of sustainable fashion) and the extent to which the items of the product evaluation form were achieved.
