Abstract

Contemporary mural art represents a methodology that encompasses new standards in the realm of arts, with its roots extending through the tapestry of civilizations' artistic traditions. It possesses its distinct aesthetics in both form and content.

The aim of the research is to delve into contemporary mural art and the role of material and technique, seeking to enrich the aesthetic and expressive values of contemporary murals. This is achieved through the utilization of a method that involves the synthesis and fusion of materials, infusing them into the realm of contemporary mural art.

The act of combining materials has been a driving force in human thought since ancient times, igniting artists' creativity and innovation while breaking free from the confines of traditional artistic forms. The amalgamation of materials in artistic works has become a hallmark feature of contemporary artistry.

Embracing modern techniques is pivotal in aligning wall materials with architectural surfaces. The research underscores the significance of engaging with heritage from a contemporary perspective, offering innovative artistic solutions that harmonize with the rapidly evolving landscape of technology and artistic innovation. The study delves into the essence of various materials, encompassing both modern and traditional mediums—such as mosaics (colored glass, ceramic pieces, ceramic tiles), marble engraving (CNC), metals (stainless steel, copper), polyester resin sculpting, acrylic—to elevate the aesthetic value in mural art. Furthermore, it explores the harnessing of material technology to establish a spectrum of academic approaches in service of contemporary mural art.
