Abstract

Research highlights the importance of digital transformation technologies in the printing and publishing industries, emphasizing their advantages in improving work environments. These technologies, such as augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing, are also applicable in university education for the printing and publishing sector. They can facilitate e-learning, particularly during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of the study was to create an interactive virtual educational environment that enhances practical skills for students in these programs and prepares them for the job market, thereby strengthening the Egyptian printing industry. To achieve this, a survey identified key digital transformation applications in education, followed by a critical analysis to assess their strengths and weaknesses. The research included the development of a mobile application that enables university instructors to deliver remote education aligned with course outcomes while monitoring student progress. Feedback from experts and a pilot test with students indicated the application's effectiveness in enhancing practical skills linked to the curriculum.Statistical analysis revealed a significant correlation between using this interactive environment and improving students' practical skills. The study recommends that specialists focus on creating such digital environments to provide essential training for graduates in the printing and publishing fields, enhancing their employability in the market.
