Abstract

The problem of the research lies in the low quality of printed newspapers, which consequently affects the quality of printed advertising, which represents one of the most important financial resources of the press institution, despite the availability of good materials and modern technology. The research also aimed to analyze the factors and variables during the stages of newspaper production that have an impact on the quality of printed advertising, and to improve printed quality by studying the impact resulting of applying color management systems and the requirements of the standard (12647:3). The importance of the research is that print advertising represents one of the most important financial resources for the newspaper institution, and therefore attention must be paid to the quality of newspaper printing to attract more customers to advertise in the printed newspaper. In preparing the research, the two researchers followed the experimental approach to ensure the ability to achieve the research objectives in a practical way by studying the impact resulting from the application of color management systems and the requirements of the standard (12647:3) They also used the descriptive analytical approach to analyze and describe the factors.

Several studies and research have been done in the field of print quality and print assessment, and repeatedly it has been concluded that it is a very complex issue. Often, printed matter, such as magazines and newspapers show variations in their print quality caused by a range of factors, and the competitive situation
