Abstract

The fashion industry is facing increasing scrutiny for its environmental and social impact. The production of clothing consumes vast amounts of resources, generates significant waste, and contributes to pollution. Deconstruction relies on reusing old design and transforming them into brand new ones. This process makes for a more efficient use of clothing. In addition, deconstruction is an artistic process where skills and innovation are used to create new and unique objects, using sustainable solutions. However, the process actually embodies several fundamental principles. Demolition becomes a process of reuse, transforming the old into something new, and new pieces can be reworked to fit the fashion by adding or changing parts of the garment or accessory, the research aims to rethink the traditional use of materials and by deconstructing clothes and rearranging their components, unique designs can be created that require fewer resources. Breathing new life into discarded or unwanted items. This reduces the demand for new materials and reduces the amount of clothing that ends up in landfills. This reduces waste and maximizes the potential of each fabric, in line with the goal of sustainability. Fast fashion, characterized by fast production and low prices, is notorious for its negative impact on the environment and exploitative labor practices,
