The Linear Normative Values of the Material as an Approach to Creating an Handicraft from Recycling Materials to Achieve Sustainable Development

Abstract

The study aimed to:

• Create artistic works based on recycling raw materials by taking advantage of the formative potential of line and thread to achieve some sustainable development goals.contemporary art objects.

The limits of the study: The study is limited to:

Objective limits:

• The plastic capabilities of line and thread in the artistic work.

• Thread materials and how to recycle and process them using the techniques of “Sprang - plain, inspiring and intriguing , and sumac weaving”, hand embroidery “blanket stitch - chain stitch - satin stitch”, and “macramé” aqada.

• Sustainable development goals and achieving five goals including (eliminating poverty - good health and well-being - quality education - gender equality - decent work and economic growth).

Material limits: The following materials were used in addition to the thread as a basis: Cotton threads and synthetic wool of different thicknesses and colors - Pearl Cotton threads - Wires covered with thread and plastic treated with textile techniques - Cork - White felt - Orange adhesive suede paper and Canson paper - Plastic squares - Slip hooks "Shish Ouk zipper covered with thread" - Beads - Tree branches covered with thread - Balls of thread - Model wood - Hose covered with thread - Foam colors.

Time limits:

• The experiment lasted four years from 2017 - 2021 AD
