Traditional costumes of the nobility and rulers of men and women in the Qajar era

Abstract

This study aims to identify traditional costumes worn by the nobility and rulers of the Qajar era, whether in formal or informal events or even during daily life. with the analysis of the names and types of traditional clothing of the Qajar era, What is meant here is not only what a person wears on the body, but also what he wears on the head and what he wears on the feet and hands. The costumes are based mainly on two important elements : Creativity and tradition are linked to the social and economic situation, and also to the techniques of industry in every age. All of which led to the evolution of the garment industry from detail, inscription and color, Each period has been characterized by the emergence of new kinds of uniforms, and in general, Qajar uniforms have evolved considerably over time. By linking the hereditary traditions of fashion to the development of some European costumes, which clearly appeared on the clothing of the rulers and the nobility of men and women of that time. and the fashion format can be clearly identified through some illustrations through the Qajar Photography School and in the light of applied masterpieces .
