Abstract

Although many environmental residues may appear to be small in size, they have a significant impact on the environment and ecosystems. Humans are an integral part of the environment and play an active role in it. This role, evidenced by daily life activities, has become a dominant element. Therefore, recycling and reusing Waste in Art has become critical to promote environmental awareness and create positive change. Topics conveyed through recycling vary greatly among artists using discarded materials in their art, but the common thread, is raising awareness regarding waste recycling. Recycling plastic bags in visual arts is not only a way to protect the environment, but also an opportunity for artists to experiment and innovate using simple and accessible materials, by providing effective methods reusing these plastics. In our modern, convenience-driven society, plastic bags have become an ubiquitous part of everyday life, and the overabundance of discarded plastic bags is also a growing environmental crisis, with billions ending up in landfills and oceans each year. To increase ecological awareness, the artistic reclamation of plastic bags offers an inspiring model for sustainability and creativity, by recognizing the aesthetic potential in what is often considered trash, making statements about waste, consumerism, and the environment, and challenging our perceptions .Yet some artists have found a creative solution to this pollution problem, by repurposing and reusing plastic bags as an artistic medium. Overall, the accessibility, malleability, and distinctive visual characteristics of plastic bags have made them a popular creative material for many contemporary artists.
