Abstract

Abstract:

Designing wrought iron products for outdoor spaces is a complex process that requires careful consideration of various factors. Understanding the structural properties of the material, such as tensile strength and ductility, in the design process contributes to providing a design capable of confronting the functional and structural factors and conditions to which it may be exposed. This emphasizes the importance of the impact of modern technologies on the construction and aesthetics of wrought iron products, especially those intended for outdoor spaces and public places, and thus stems the importance of highlighting the new design and production capabilities in raising the efficiency of wrought iron products. In addition, the use of wrought iron in public places requires that the greatest possible considerations be taken into account in the design process, which must be compatible with the different types of cast iron furniture. The research problem arises from the need for a comprehensive approach to the design of wrought iron products according to clear and specific considerations, taking into account both their structural properties and their aesthetic potential. The research also aims to deduce general considerations in the design of wrought iron for the outdoor spaces of public places. The research follows the descriptive method. The research concluded that taking into account functional, structural, economic, aesthetic, ergonomic, security and safety considerations contributes to providing a thoughtful and integrated design that meets functional and psychological needs.
