Getting inspired by the Egyptian environment in implementing murals to beautify the building of the Faculty of Fine Arts in the light of cooperative learning

Abstract

The Summary of Research:

Mural painting is a way of developing visual culture and aesthetic taste for all segments of society, it is a fertile field through which good communication can be created between art and members of society in their daily lives, it has an important role in boosting national belonging among individuals by finding a formula that combines the heritage content with contemporary civilized thought. Cooperative learning is an effective teaching strategy in the field of mural painting, where students work in small groups to maximize their own learning and teach each other to achieve common goals within cooperative situations, through which individuals seek satisfying and beneficial outcomes for themselves and all other group members, it enables learning groups to prepare and implement balanced, interconnected mural works to beautify public and private spaces.

The importance of this research is in highlighting the importance of using cooperative learning as a way of teaching and opening the way for the students of fine arts faculty to work in groups to develop the skill of dealing with the work team, develop the spirit of cooperation, and boost the value of belonging through getting inspired by the Egyptian environment surrounding them in implementing murals to beautify the building of fine arts faculty in Assiut university.
