The art of mural painting and architecture is closely linked through different historical and civilized eras, It is part of the texture of architectural design that participates mainly in the composition and architectural style of facilities, In contemporary architecture different theories have emerged that have provided new visions far from the classical tendencies that prevailed before the twentieth century to achieve the new needs of contemporary people, The development of mural painting has kept pace with the development of architecture through the introduction of mural painting treatments by artists who are predominantly individualistic and willing to experiment. This is what we can see in many mural paintings in urban areas in major cities globally, The multiplicity of artistic methods in dealing with subjects and the use of various materials and techniques came as one of the most important features of contemporary mural painting, and the most important of these methods and trends is optical illusion, This art is based on the changing kinetic sensation that depends on the illusion of vision and stimulating the senses through various types of optical illusions, In this research, examples of wall painting works will be reviewed, which artists relied on the method of optical illusions in their formulation to achieve dynamism, movement, and integration between the mural painting and the architectural surfaces that contain it.
