Abstract

The importance of studying the concept of lean management in product design comes

from the fact that it is a scientific approach whose application affects the content of the design process, which is reflected in the creation of value for the product that meets the user’s needs and achieves a competitive advantage. This is what moves the designer to more proficient levels in managing the design process, and achieves broader dimensions in the marketing and economic environment, which achieves compatibility with the formal, cultural and behavioral components, as well as the competencies expected from the product in the user’s environment.

Management is the most important basic in any business or project, So it is become a necessity to apply lean management principles in designing products so that they provide access to all requirements of users of all categories, through industrial facilities alone or with the user’s participation in the design process so that he achieves his needs at the lowest possible cost, with a commitment to improving and simplifying the design solution , which results in a competitive advantage in the market.
