Abstract

Research summary:

The work of art represents a subjective human experience that the artist conveys to the viewer through various materials and substances, and in varying sizes. Miniature arts are one of the products of ancient and modern civilizations, as they were associated with multiple functions and tasks, whether these miniatures were ceramic or otherwise. The small size of the miniature objects increases the intimacy of the viewer with the thing. The reduced size object requires careful physical examination as the viewer must be close to seeing it correctly, in addition to it can be an unconventional educational method at some times.

This research then aims to study the emergence and development of the art of miniatures in general and ceramic miniatures in particular, and to achieve an aesthetic vision for models of ceramic miniatures that can be invested artistically and educationally, as the small space for the works will provide greater opportunities for students to complete the experience of dealing with ceramics in an integrated manner through firing in Less space for kilns without large energy consumption and in kilns that the student can easily obtain. Therefore, this research aims to find artistic and plastic dimensions that enrich the field of teaching ceramics at the faculty of Art Education, based on investing the art of ceramic miniatures and the dimensions of their plastic and aesthetic application, by carrying out a personal experience represented in the formation of a collection of small, fine ceramic works.
