Abstract

The world has now turned to caring for the environment, and there have become many modern concepts that attempt to link architecture and the environment, ancient and modern, in order to link a heritage full of spirit and a modernity burdened with the influence of matter, through the use of engineering and technical capabilities that prepare the environment, make it suitable for living, and maintain its quality, and with the emergence of the term Sustainability “which refers to development strategies that take into account the requirements and desires of present and future generations and aim to provide a balance of interests that serve all in the economic, social and environmental fields,” in addition to the emergence of the concept of environmental architecture, which is concerned with the natural physical surroundings of the environment, and recommends the use of materials that do not harm the environment. and calls for the preservation of the natural resource base for the future, Sustainable development has also adopted a set of strategies, including “optimal orientation of the building, exploitation of natural energies, and care for planning systems, building details, etc.,” as well as improving the quality of life for users, including public health.
