Abstract

Mural art has many abilities in aesthetics, sociology, psychology structures, and cultural, artistic, and political subjects of society because of its communicative nature. The research discusses selected examples of murals and on this basis shows that artistic activities have become an important component that complements the urban landscape. Murals appear in neglected city neighborhoods, residential areas, and high-rise building areas, often adorning the walls of empty buildings, they are an element of space activation, increase the aesthetic value of surrounding areas, and have a positive impact on the quality of life of residents. Changing the face of difficult, neglected, and forgotten places helps to improve spatial and social status. The main objective of the research is to determine whether and to what extent mural art appears in modern cities and is important for social cognition. Hence the problem of research: how effective is the mural in beautifying cities and making them more vibrant and responsive to the recipient's senses? How do murals affect urban aesthetics and the rehabilitation and beautification of cities? Based on an analytical descriptive approach and explanation. The presence of murals in public spaces adds to the aesthetic appeal of the place and contributes to the cultural identity of the city. It also recommends that murals be present in our society not only to beautify cities but also to change individuals' behavior for the better, especially children and future generations receiving art in school, on the street, and everywhere.
