Abstract

Rapid and successive technological developments led to changes in concepts, fields of vision, perceived reality and enhancing experiences searching for technologies influencing the visual field form in design. Augmented reality is a prominent development in the technological field affecting the visual field design processes. It's a type of applications combining the real and the virtual, where it allows virtual objects, images, and textual information in the user’s real environment, focusing on a completely new scene where the organization of the perceived visual field changes through a variety of visual effects. The designer is keen on the organization of the visual field in design, and seeks to achieve through design processes, including the relationship of form and ground, as the composition and construction relationships in design, where they organize the elements involved in the design and give it its distinctive identity. The research aims to highlight the effects of augmented reality on the design processes of the visual field and the impact of augmented reality on it, and represents its role for designing multi-dimensional murals. It is also interested in studying the nature of augmented reality, its types, its working mechanisms, and the design processes of the visual field. The research included in its theoretical framework the nature of augmented reality, design processes for the visual field, multi-dimensional murals and its special standards, and finally the results. The research recommended benefiting from this study when formulating and teaching murals design in various institutions in Art and academic institutions.
