Design construction of one-piece printing for women using elements of porcelain art in the Far Eastern countries

Abstract

This research is subjected to a comparative study between the art of pottery and porcelain in the Far East (China – Japan) in terms of definition, We find that the Chinese know porcelain as “TZ'u”, a character that was the first to be found in the books of the Han Dynasty, while the Japanese mostly use yakimono as a general word for ceramics and pottery together and divide it into jiki meaning "porcelain", and taki ceramics of all kinds, especially pottery.The types of porcelain art according to the Chinese chronology are white porcelain, blue and white porcelain, Tang Sankai ceramics, while according to the chronology of Japan are Imari- Kakiemon- Nabeshima-Hirado - Kutani- Kyōyaki- Satsuma - Transfer and stencil printing porcelain, the research deals with the pairing of elements of the arts of the Far East (China – Japan) to achieve a deeper understanding of the data of printing design and its diversity, as well as a comparison between plant elements, birds, animals and mythical beings in China and Japan in terms of form, and to be inspired by these elements to create a set of one-piece designs for women's fabrics using Adobe Photoshop, all of which are based on the different structural foundations of design and distributed in a way that achieves balance, movement, diversity and repetition, and finally the proposed employment of each design idea .
