Abstract

The logo is the most important and first element on which any institutional identity that expresses and represents the institution, especially government institutions, is based, as its main function is to confirm the image of the government institution in the minds of the public, and to define and remind constantly It is to confirm a specific idea or message of its own, reflecting the features of the institution, its services and its unique personality and placing it in a position that allows it to compete among other institutions, Therefore, the logos of Egyptian government institutions must meet all the conditions that allow them to be able to represent the government institution and confirm its identity and status, It must have all the modern features and trends that give it the ability to do so.

Hence the problem of research in the need to shed light on recent trends in the design of Egyptian cultural institutional logos as part of the Egyptian visual identity.

The research aims to identify the importance of having modern logos for Egyptian cultural institutions and to know the modern trends in designing their logos to meet the conditions that make them represent the cultural institution and define it efficiently, The research hypothesis is based on the fact that the modernity of the logos of cultural institutions and the use of new technologies in their design help in representing and supporting the Egyptian identity
