Abstract

This is a historical study on shadow puppets and their animate techniques, and the difference between these techniques. The research problem revolves around several questions, including whether the art of shadow puppetry evolved over time or did it stop at a certain stage and to what extent did it develop? Are there creative modern experiences in shadow puppet shows or No, and did it succeed and resonate or not, and the research objectives come to answer these questions and research about modern experiences through the experience of Hamid Rahmanian, and the importance of research lies in achieving the research objectives, whether it is searching for historical animate techniques, as well as searching for one of the experiences in this field of The creative and technical side, by presenting and studying the experience of the American-Iranian artist Hamid Rahmanian, to know him and the reasons for his entry into this branch of the performing arts, as well as knowing his multiple artistic experiences and focusing on his unique artistic experience in the show "feathers of fire" inspired by one of the stories of the Shahnameh, studying the techniques of this presentation and studying multimedia in the show, which qualified it to win many awards and analysis of the elements of the show and its techniques in especially the performance of the actors themselves as shadow puppets, the temporal limits are the twenty-first century and the spatial limits are the United States of America
