Abstract

This research focuses on the importance of designing adequate study areas at home, particularly during the pandemic period. And where remote studying has become necessary. The study identifies the problem of most contemporary houses not being properly equipped to serve as effective study areas for their residents. Research aims to emphasize the significance of interior design principles and standards in designing such areas, which not only helps meet the needs of residents but also promotes their health safety during quarantine periods and remote studying. The study employed a mixed descriptive and analytical methodology, along with an applied methodology, to propose a suggested design model for such areas. The key hypothesis of the study is that adequate designs for study areas help enable individuals to actively study and conduct research at home during quarantine periods, and maintain their health safety. This study highlights the importance of considering interior design elements in creating suitable study areas at home during the pandemic period. It provides a model that meets the needs of residents, promotes their health safety, and helps them cope with pandemic situations and ramifications.
