Abstract

There is no doubt that technological developments are considered an essential part of daily life activities since the occurrence of the information and communication revolution, which has become the superpower influencing the twenty-first century. As a result of these developments, the term "Internet of Things" appeared as the latest developments in information and communication technology, which is an advanced concept of the Internet so that all things in our lives have the ability to connect to the Internet or to each other to send and receive data to perform specific functions through this network, and with regard to the interior design of commercial spaces, the Internet of Things has played an important role in achieving interaction, This means the interaction of the product with the user and the interaction of the user with the elements of the interior space such as floors, walls, ceilings, furniture and other components, by making the elements of the interior space connected to the Internet and using sensors and smart materials that lead to creating an interactive relationship between the user and the physical elements of the interior space through Sensing movement, sound, or pressure, in addition to integrating computers and mobile phones.

In this research, the impact of the Internet of Things on the interior design elements of commercial spaces such as floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, and other elements, and its impact on the design and planning of commercial space, is addressed.
