Abstract

This research is based on the development of jacquard weft knitting products in the production of shoes using innovative designs and different machine settings and implementing them on weft knitting machines for the production of shoes, especially (ladies' shoes) to achieve aesthetic and functional properties to improve the general taste



The fabric samples for the research were produced using a variety of stitch shapes, and a rectangular weft knitting machine (12) was used, and different types of yarns were used, namely polyester No. 150, Lycra yarn No. 110/70, and thermal thread No. 150.



Where 6 samples were produced on the rectangular weft knitting machine with different types of stitches, and a questionnaire was made for the teachers’ opinions



Academics and the consumer public on the six samples.



Research results: The study proved that the diversity in the forms of stitches in the ribbed weft knitting fabrics used in the production of women's shoes led to the development of the existing product in the women's shoe market. New ways to raise the aesthetic value of fabrics produced on rectangular weft knitting machines were communicated through the design program. The best executive specifications were communicated to obtain the fabrics used in women's shoes on rectangular weft knitting machines, as indicated in the results of the questionnaire
