Abstract:

The Cubism is an artistic trend that at the beginning of the twentieth century, which takes geometric shapes as the basis for building the artwork.

The approach of Cubism was to focus on independent forms of shapes that were defined by geometric lines. The cubists believed that they had made visual objects and reality an artistic form, and hence the importance of research in dealing with Cubism with a new reduction perspective represented in applying the principle of Minimalism on some artworks of the cubism, and inspiration of designs for printing women's fabrics from this perspective,

The research aims to find a relationship between cubism and minimalism In the design of women’s textiles by inspiration from cubism and applying a reductionist perspective on them to create designs for printed women’s textiles using an artistic analytical approach through the technical analytical study of selected works of art by some of the cubism artworks, and an experimental approach that represents the researcher's experiences.
