Abstract

This research aims to develop weft knitting products, especially the decorative ribbed fabrics used in outerwear for men in the market on weft knitting machines. The technical and aesthetic value of weft knitting fabrics and improving the functional performance of men's outerwear and trying to reach the best executive specification for the decorative ribbed weft knitting fabrics for men's outerwear, and then the local product of decorative ribbed weft knitting fabrics can be developed, so this research aims to develop weft knitting fabrics On machines using rib derivatives, creating innovative designs and different machine settings, and implementing them on weft knitting machines to produce outerwear, for example, but not limited to (men's clothing) to achieve distinctive aesthetic and functional properties and improve public taste. The fabric samples for the research were produced using the diversity of the stitches and the different colors, and a rectangular weft knitting machine (7) was used, using 90% acrylic and 10% nylon yarn, and number 1/17 E, where 9 samples were produced on the weft knitting machine The ribbed area, where three groups were produced, the first group (different stitches) - the second group (different color) - the third group (different stitches and colors) for each group three samples, and a specification was developed for each group, and a set of tests were conducted on the samples used in the research, where they were Conducting a fabric weight test,
