Vocational habilitation of special needs children in the principles of the jewelry industry
(A proposed model for a “special needs children vocational habilitation” program)
In general; people with special needs face major obstacles in finding proper jobs, due to their inability to compete with other normal society members; in terms of skills and capabilities. On the other hand; it might be useful to begin the habilitation process of people with special needs at early ages, to give them the opportunity to obtain a good training in professions that suit them, so that they can find a proper job upon reaching the appropriate age. In this study; the researcher seeks to affirm the possibility of utilizing the jewelry industry principles education in the vocational habilitation for children with special needs, and proposes a vocational training program that suit this category the Hypothesis of this research
- Vocational habilitation for people with special needs is one of the main factors that can help them find jobs that are appropriate to their physical and mental capabilities. - Starting the vocational training process for people with special needs at an early age increases their chances in joining the labor market upon reaching the appropriate age. - The jewelry industry can be utilized in the vocational habilitation for special needs children; and it can achieve the concepts and goals of the vocational habilitation for this category of society
