Abstract

Folklore is considered one of the sources of arts that express the civilizational, intellectual and cultural depth of different peoples. The North African region, including Egypt, is considered one of the regions rich in various heritage arts, due to its special nature that combines the coastal and desert environment. The Amazigh heritage of that environment is a natural product of that special environment. Through the researcher's work in teaching metalwork, she saw that we can, through studying the aesthetic values of the elements of the Amazigh heritage in Siwa and the Bahariya Oasis in Egypt, develop aspects of creativity and innovation among students, and link them to their distinctive cultural heritage, which may be exposed to extinction. This is done by benefiting from studying the aesthetic values of the Amazigh decorations in Siwa and the Bahariya Oasis in creating designs for metal works with a contemporary artistic vision, and implemented using various metal shaping techniques, the most important of which is enamel shaping. The researcher conducted the practical application with third-level students in the Department of Art Education, Faculty of Specific Education, Kafr El-Sheikh University.
